Introducing the second edition of this article series. Last week ended in a 7-2 record, and a nearly $500 payday if you followed the pick suggestions exactly.
Also, I failed to mention in the first edition that I am getting the lines for the games from Oddshark’s best line odds. Of course, there may be better or worse lines out there.
Bump this classic in the background while reading the picks. It’ll make everything sound official.
Cubs +220 and/or Toronto +300:
I flip flopped on the Cubs season faster than Aunt Jemima on National Pancake Day. Call it blind hope, but I think anyone can see that the Cubs are the best team in baseball by far. Now, we all know the best team doesn’t always win, but a small bet of $100 to win $220 isn’t bad.
The other option here is who I think wins the World Series if it isn’t the Cubs. Toronto is scorching hot. Cleveland did sweep their series too, and Cleveland is now the city of champions. However, the injuries to the Tribe’s rotation will catch up to them in the ALCS.
Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016:
Memphis vs. Tulane over 53.5/-107: Memphis averages 43 points a game and Tulane averages 31 points a game, look for lots of points.
Virginia Tech -19.5 @ Syracuse/-107: VT is coming off a dismantling of North Carolina (34-3), so I’m convinced a three touchdown victory against the Orange is manageable.
Clemson -17.5 vs. NC State/-105: I’m a sucker for favorites. But until it backfires, I’m going to ride the favorite train. Clemson by a bunch in Death Valley.
Ohio State -10 @ Wisconsin/-105: Same thing, different game. I know it’s a primetime game on the road for the Buckeyes, but Ohio State is the real deal. I’ve convinced myself their defense is going to rattle Wisconsin’s young QB. They gotta win by at least 2 TDs.
Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016:
New England -8.5 vs. Cincinnati/-110: Brady is back, free money. I look for Belichick, Brady and the Pats to beat up another Ohio team this weekend.
Green Bay -4 vs. Dallas/-107: Dak and Ezekiel have surpassed expectations thus far, but they haven’t played a top tier team yet. I think Aaron Rodgers and the Lambeau faithful get the best of the rookies.
Detroit vs. Los Angeles over 43/-107: One never has to worry about the weather with a dome game in Detroit. Bottom line: I can see a 24-21 game easily happening.
Check back in a few days to see how these picks fared. Also, comment below if you disagree or if you have any other suggestions for picks.
